The Phenomena Of Success (Guide)

The quote “The mind is everything, what you think, you become” is so true. Mindset is a critical component of success in business, sports and life in general. If you wait for good things to fall into your lap, you are defeated in advance, because it’s the nature of life to have bad things fall into your lap, too. Bringing success and abundance into your own life should be more than a game of chance.

You must be conscious and deliberate mentally in order to made your desires come through. There is quantitative research to back this up. Stanford psychologist Carol Dweck examined mindsets among young students. She found that children who have a growth mindset that intelligence can be developed are better able to overcome academic challenges than those who have a fixed mindset that intelligence is predetermined.

Another study on middle-aged adults, completed by researchers at Yale and Miami, revealed that those with more positive beliefs around aging lived 7.5 years longer than those with less positive self-perceptions of aging. So basically, your mindset can prolong your life!

Your Mindset Determines Your Reality

If you focus on lack, you’ll have plenty of lack in your life. On the other hand, if you focus on abundance, you will have more than you need. So what is the phenomenon in terms of a scarcity mentality versus an abundance mindset ?

Expansion is the great friend of abundance. It brings in the light, opening up new possibilities. In a relaxed, open state, your awareness sees farther and life isn’t so confined. It is important to note that material abundance, which can be useful, contains no fulfillment by itself. Fulfillment comes from a vision that comes true. The higher the vision, the greater the fulfillment. Therefore, fulfillment is the sense of complete ease and well being, no worries, no concerns, just being.

Is Creating Abundance In Your Life Really That Simple?

The answer might surprise you… If you want more success, more wealth, more freedom, and more fulfillment. The good news is that it’s more possible than ever to have all those things. BUT you will have to do some inner work to make it happen. An abundance mindset therefore, is knowing that there is more than enough in the Universe for you and everyone else.

In essence, you can get as much money as you want and need while not taking it from anyone else. But to some people, this doesn’t even feel possible. The reason is because of the way that they were probably raised growing up. The general notion is that at a young age you need to go to school, get a good job, climb the ladder, then retire.

Along the way as you’re “climbing” the ladder in the corporate world, it’s easy to get a scarcity mindset without ever realizing it. Since most of the population are 9-5 employees, not entrepreneurs, this leads to most people with a scarcity mindset. When you’re climbing the ladder inside a corporation, it’s easy to think there isn’t enough.

Sometimes you’ll get a promotion while others won’t or vice versa. This ingrains the thoughts and feelings of scarcity in your own little world. When in reality, there are endless possibilities and opportunities if you choose to look for them.

Scarcity vs. Abundance Mindset

To create abundance in your life, it’s vital to understand the difference between scarcity vs. abundance. Once you can recognize which is happening in your life, it gives you the power to switch to abundance if you aren’t already. Or, to create even more abundance in your life.

A scarcity mindset usually means:

Thinking that only some people can win. As if there’s a certain amount of money in the world and only certain people can have a certain amount of it. A scarcity mentality is what keeps many people from achieving their goals. When you’re living with a scarcity mindset, it’s easy to feel stressed that if something happens, you’ll never bounce back or prosper again.

People with a scarcity mindset usually say things like “There will never be enough.” While a person with an abundance mindset will say and think things like “There will always be more.”

Scarcity mentality is when people see life as a finite pie, so that if one person takes a big piece, that leaves less for everyone else. Most people, particularly in the corporate world, have been conditioned to have a scarcity mentality. It's no wonder when promotions and raises are scarce, resources are limited, managers hoard information, micromanagement abounds, and generally, short-term thinking is the norm.

If you’ve been thinking about a career change but haven’t taken the leap, you’re probably having thoughts like, “There aren't enough good jobs out there," "I don't have enough transferrable skills," or "Who am I kidding, there’s too much competition.” These are all ideas based on scarcity, what you don’t have. A scarcity mentality sees limitations instead of opportunities.

Instead, an abundance mindset usually leads to: turn those around to thoughts like, "Wow, I have 25 years of marketing experience, which will be a huge asset if I decide to start a business. With an abundance mindset, you don’t tear people down, you want everyone to win because you know there is more than enough.

Also, with an abundance mindset, you have feelings of security, peace, and overall more happiness. Because you know that there are infinite possibilities and ways to find success.

So How Do You Create And An Abundant Mindset?

According to Oprah Winfrey,
“If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more. If you look at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.”

Even if you aren’t where you want to be in life or business, focus on what you have to get more of what you want. It’s very difficult to feel fear or sadness while feeling grateful at the same time. Practicing gratitude is one of the most widely recognized methods for improving one’s overall well-being.

In 2007, Robert Emmons, professor of psychology at the University of California, Davis, began researching gratitude and found that expressing gratitude improves mental and physical well-being. Being grateful also impacts the overall experience of happiness, and the effects tend to be long-lasting. One way to practice this is to write down five things you are grateful for each day. Or, if you really want to incorporate this practice into your life, you can create a gratitude journal.

Always start with thanksgiving; be thankful for what you already have and see the goodness that come from this one simple act. Next, you’ve got to challenge yourself to produce. You have to be committed to produce more ideas than you need for yourself so you can share and give your ideas away.

That is called fruitfulness and abundance—it means working on producing more than you need for yourself so you can begin blessing others, blessing your enterprise and blessing your nation and the world. Once abundance starts to come, once someone becomes incredibly productive, it’s amazing what the numbers turn out to be.

What Are Your Dreams?

Everything begins in the heart and mind: your soul. Every great achievement began in the mind of one person. They dared to dream, to believe that it was possible. Take some time to allow yourself to ask, What if? Think big. Don’t let negative thinking discourage you.
You want to be a dreamer. Dream of the possibilities for yourself, your family and for others.

If you had a dream that you let grow cold, re-ignite the dream. Fan the flames. Life is too short to let it go. It is now time to commit to living your dreams. When you commit to living your dreams, the lids blinding your eyes will be lifted. A completely new world will be opened to your view. You will notice opportunities that have been in your reach all along , ones your conscious mind simply didn’t pay heed to. The fundamental change taking place is your self-identity. This is the point of no return. Once this shift has happened, your whole world changes.

Nothing becomes impossible to you. Whatever you want eventually becomes yours because you see what most people don’t. Limitations begin to disappear and your consciousness quickly expands. An abundance mindset allows you to see more in your life: more options, more choices, and more resources.

One fascinating study found that when you focus on one particular thing very intently, other possibilities that are right in front of you can go completely unnoticed. The brain can only absorb so much, so if your belief is “I can’t do it” or “it’s impossible” then any other thoughts contradicting that will get thrown out. Start training your mind to loosen its focus and create an expanded awareness.

Why Are Most People Afraid Of Abundance If It Is Such A Great Thing?

Most people are afraid to live a good life. This may sound strange, but it's true because they are afraid to escape their scarcity mindset, challenge their beliefs and commit to leaving a meaningful impact on this planet. It all has to do with programming (by parents, teachers, society etc.), that is there isn’t enough for everyone to succeed.

When in reality, that is 100% not true. You can become as wealthy and successful as you want without negatively impacting the success and prosperity of others. It is time to build a profitable business that unleashes the impact only you can unleash. If you know you're afraid to let go of your scarcity mindset, be challenged to fight it and become part of the 1 percent, because abundance breeds abundance.

Step one is first identifying that you have a choice. You can choose to have a scarcity or abundance mindset. Once you choose abundance, make sure you then:

Align yourself with your life’s work.

Focus on what you have (to attract more of what you want).

  • Expand Your Life.
  • Be passionate about your life and the experiences you fill it with.
  • Quit comparing yourself to others and focus on your own goals.
  • Remember, what you focus on determines your reality.
  • Stand up for yourself and fix what can be fixed.
  • Walk away from things that can’t be fixed.

Choose your thoughts and intentions carefully as they’ll subconsciously help you create the life you want. Focus on lack and you’ll probably get it but if you focus on wealth and success, you’ll be much more likely to get it as well. To put it simply, abundance breeds freedom and vice versa.

The greatest enemy of abundance, is contraction. When you find yourself in a tight situation, feeling that there is no way out, drawing a blank when you try to think of new solutions, or carrying around a heavy burden, these are signs of contraction—in mind, body, and spirit.

Without true freedom all you will do is remain in limitation and instead of becoming the king or queen inside your world, you'll constantly worry about things you can easily break free from. To construct an empowering reality, be mindful of the fact that you’re creating your reality right now.

But chances are you’re not being very intentional about the reality that you’re creating. Reality is subjective; if you realize that it’s a construct, if you realize that you are choosing to believe something, then you can choose to believe that you can do something about it.
Write down the beliefs that you have about yourself. On one side, list the things that empower you and move you forward. The things that make you more confident, that give you the courage and the audacity to move forward.

On the other side, list the things that demotivate or demean you and move you away from your goals. You can choose to believe things that empower you, and you can choose to ignore the things that move you backward. It’s all a construct.

This "why" is what separates you from everyone else, and holds the key to achieving the business you desire. But, the only way to have this "why" is to be free, and the only way to become free is to enjoy abundance every single day. Abundance allows you to think about the big picture and how you truly impact those you serve. It lets you imagine the impossible instead of how you can continue to just "get by."

Once you step into your "why" and start focusing on the big picture, something amazing happens because you begin to feel fulfilled. Fulfillment breeds contentment in ways you have never experienced before, which leads you to happiness (in your work and your life).

When you break down the core component of success, it is: Freedom, Fulfillment, Happiness.

Isn't the reason you do what you do is so you can have a massive impact on those you serve and change the world in a way only you can? No matter how big or small this impact is, it's this notion of impact that fuels your motivation, desire and purpose.

The only way to have this impact is to live-and-breathe freedom, fulfillment and happiness, and this all begins with abundance; an abundance mindset instead of a scarcity based one.

This is a problem, because so long as you're worrying about where the next dollar comes from, you will never be able to unleash your "why" onto the world.

The possibilities are endless. Taking even a small action begins to change the feedback you are getting. There is nothing wrong with wanting more; In fact, that's how it should be.
